On 26 May 2023, our Executive Director Kate Handley participated in a panel discussion at the Daily Maverick Gathering: Earth Edition, which explored the unfolding Sixth Extinction, the greatest threats we are facing today, what we should do and what we should know.

The panel discussed time, the dual crises of biodiversity loss and climate change, and whether exploring for new oil and gas in the midst of these crises really makes sense.
